Academy Jazz Festival

Close up of a saxophone

Now in its sixth year, the annual Academy Jazz Festival continues to go from strength to strength and has become one of the highlights of our calendar. After an intensive week of work, small ensembles showcase the music of their bandleaders in two evenings of public performances. This year we welcome another stellar collection of guest artists, including the UK jazz musician and commentator Soweto Kinch, stars of the European jazz scene Jasper Høiby and Jim Hart, new projects from saxophonist Trish Clowes and celebrated vocalist Nia Lynn, and the Academy debut of US saxophonist and composer John Gunther.

Wednesday 19 February: Trish Clowes, Jim Hart, Soweto Kinch
